SOUTH LYON, MI -- Michigan Seamless Tube LLC (MST) is pleased to announce that Michael Rinker has joined the company as President and CEO. Additionally, Russ Maier, formerly President and CEO, has been named Chairman.

Rinker has an impressive 28-year career in the stainless steel industry, most recently as President of North American Division of Outokumpu Stainless. He spent 20 years with Outokumpu and their predecessor companies, Avesta-Sheffield, Inc., in a variety of top management positions. A 1977 graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University, Rinker began his career with the House of Stainless in Chicago, Illinois. He has been active in the Metal Service Center Institute, Steel Plate Fabricators Association and the Stainless Steel Industry of North America.
Michigan Seamless Tube was formed by Russ Maier and Atlas Holdings LLC to acquire the fixed assets and intellectual property of Vision Metals, Inc. (once known as Quanex) Michigan Specialty Tube Division in October 2002.
